Silk Women's Twist Long Turban — Batik "Rose Pulse"

A long women's Twist turban sewn from natural silk, hand-dyed using the traditional batik technique. Pinks, reds and white weave into a delicate web of lines and circles, creating a pattern that resembles a pulse — the rhythm of life written in fabric.

The material comes from an Indian sari that was given a new form in my studio. Every turban has its own unique batik layout. The silk is light, gentle on skin and hair, and pleasant to wear in summer. On hot days you can dampen it with water to feel a pleasant coolness.

Thanks to the Twist construction with two removable copper wires, you can shape the turban in under a minute — as full head coverage, a wide headband, a bow or a sculptural wrap.

What called to me

When this Indian sari came to my studio, I saw in it the chance for another transformation. I kept the beauty of the hand-dyed silk but gave it a new form. Now it can travel to you, to wrap you and crown you.
