Women's Twist Long Turban from an Ethiopian Shawl — Reggae, Rasta
Leave feedback on the product
A long women's Twist turban sewn from a traditional shawl from Ethiopia. Green, golden yellow and brick red are arranged in wide stripes and woven geometric ornaments. Gold threads catch the light subtly, and the fringe kept from the original shawl gives the drapes a light touch.
Only one turban was made from this shawl.
Thanks to the Twist construction with two removable copper wires, you can shape it in under a minute — as full head coverage, a wide headband, a sculptural wrap or a playful bow. The large pattern means every drape brings out different colors and ornaments.

What called to me
When I saw this Ethiopian shawl, I knew right away it would become a wonderful turban.
Green, yellow and red are a color set written in my heart, because of my huge sentiment for reggae music.
This music has been with me since high school, it lifted my mood in many hard moments, and that is why these colors stir so many emotions in me.
If dub reggae and the Rasta philosophy are close to your heart too, this turban is a real treasure.
The beautiful woven pattern is enriched with gold threads that catch the light with every drape.
I sewed only one turban from this shawl. There will never be another one like it — a true one of a kind.

As the original label with the composition is missing, I recommend gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
Before washing, remove the two copper wires. Once dry, put them back in and reshape the turban.
